During the VelaShape II treatment, after applying a cream on the body area to treat, the device vaccums the skin while infrared light and bipolar radio frequency are used to heat at 42 Celsius degrees the target area. This helps to break down fibrous tissue responsible for cellulite and to increase the elasticity of the skin. A session usually lasts around one hour and a half and the results are truly impressive.
To increase the effectiveness of the treatment, Ruby our massage therapist encouraged us to wear (if possible for a week after the Velashape session) a tight underwear that covers the treated area. We used Spanx that are thankfully available at House of Fraser.
Velashape II treatments need to be spread a week apart and it’s important to avoid being exposed to the sun a week before and after the treatment.
