A CONVENIENT CHINESE TAKE AWAY IN ABU DHABI

We just tried a pick up Chinese dinner in Abu Dhabi

No time for cooking in your busy schedule this week? If you drive through the Muroor area, there is a one spot you should try one of these days, especially if you are into Chinese food.
Oasis Garden is a restaurant close to the French school Lycée Massignon and is located along Muroor Road that is worth bookmarking.

Open seven days a week from noon to 3pm at lunchtime and from 6pm to midnight at dinner time, it has a lot of regulars amongst the French student community who come to have their lunch there. With a very efficient pick up service, within just twenty minutes after ordering  – enough time to answer late emails and browse your Instagram feed -we went back home with two bags of warm food, an all prepared dinner for 140 AED only.

For our appetizers, we couldn’t help but pick their prawn crackers as it’s quite difficult to find them in the supermarkets shelves here, some prawn spring rolls to share that were already cut into small pieces and vegetable steamed dumplings.

For the mains, we got a mix of Thai Chicken Green Curry, Thai fried rice with beef and Shanghai noodles with beef. Amongst all these items, it was the green curry that we weren’t big fans of but surprisingly the kids enjoyed all the dishes, including the vegetable dumplings!

Their menu is quite extensive, ranging from soups, appetizers, a lot of dishes prepared with shrimp, beef, chicken, fish or vegetables only and many kinds of noodles prepared in different manners. There also propose a few Thai and Mongolian dishes that we haven’t tried yet.

Honest food, good value for money and efficient service, that’s all we need to change it up from ordering our usual pizza or Lebanese food.
