A convenient new cafe, bakery and delightful pastry shop to head to when craving refined French desserts
Our first glimpse at Chateau Blanc
Craving for macaroons, pavlova, eclairs or tiramisu? Then you should go check this newly launched cafe, pastry shop and bakery that opened its doors to the public in March 2018. The shop and cafe is conveniently located behind Marina mall in Marina Village (see detailed location map below) with a large parking right beside the cafe (perfect for the warm days to come).
We were invited to have a first look on the opening day and Chateau Blanc pulled out all the stops, proposing guests to taste many different sweet and savory items from their menu. We must say this place is quite promising as all the different bites we were given to taste were gorgeous, especially the shrimp burger, braised beef among the savory items.
The manager explained to us that every single cake is made in-house using the highest quality ingredients available in each and every product on offer.
The macaroon fans can rejoice as we have counted more than 20 different macaroons flavors that looked absolutely fantastic and have a wonderful soft texture when biting in the macaroon (7 AED each)!
An elevated patisserie specializing in bespoke, custom-made cakes and desserts
Guests can browse an array of delightful French delicacies made from the world’s finest ingredients, meticulously designed and made using artisan techniques daily on the premises, to be enjoyed in the venue, or to take-away. Guests can also enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the spacious second level of the venue with a glass view of the cake station allowing them to get a view of their expert chefs creating and decorating the 3D cakes that Chateau Blanc is known for.
The team of artists and bakers, located above the main restaurant area, masterfully blend various ingredients and flavor profiles together for a truly unique and enchantingly delicious experience.
We are quite impatient to have something special to celebrate as our first tasting was a winner. We are looking forward to ordering one of their high end cakes and share our latest find in the city with friends as the whole selection of cakes on display looked absolutely gorgeous.

The establishment is the brainchild of Chef Lal De Silva who started his career in Australia and moved on to working at the Four Seasons, Indonesia, before launching his family owned establishment, The Harvest. Chateau Blanc is not a new brand for the region, having established themselves as the one-stop-shop for gifting and self-indulgence; through the store, the brothers have adapted their father’s vision specifically for the luxurious and refined tastes of UAE Market.
The brand Chateau Blanc now has around 50 outlets around the world with 2 boutiques in the UAE : one in Dubai and this new one in Abu Dhabi.
