Celebrate This Auspicious Time at this Modern Chinese Hotspot
We may have already rung in 2017, but there’s still more celebrating left to do when the Chinese New Year commences on January 28th. Why not enjoy a special three-course menu with loved ones during Hakkasan’s Chinese New Year celebrations in January and February?
You’ll begin the festivities with a specially-created Waltzing Collins cocktail featuring Chinese New Year fruits like mandarin (which symbolizes luck for the new year), then enjoy a traditional Chinese prosperity salad, tossed together at the table in front of diners, and featuring roasted chicken, jellyfish and mooli.
A signature Hakka steamed dim sum platter will follow, alongside mains including Steam Dover sole with pumpkin, shiitake mushroom in soya fish sauce, and Wok-fry tiger prawn with lemongrass and chilli. The finale is a stunning dessert featuring a ginger panna cotta, mandarin and caramelised white chocolate.
Keeping with Chinese tradition, guests will also be able to share their hopes for the coming year by writing wishes on red and gold ribbons, and hanging them on the iconic Hakkasan lattice cages.
