Rosewood Garden Brunch Abu Dhabi offers a relaxing atmosphere and a mouthwatering selection of international live stations
The brunch season is back and Rosewood Abu Dhabi has just relaunched their Friday Garden Brunch that we had never been to before. Located on the third floor, their Friday brunch has something exciting for everyone. While some will prefer sitting inside – especially with kids – while enjoying the views from the restaurant AQUA, others will surely book a table outdoors, at the terrace to enjoy the pool and city skyline views and of course, the welcoming sea breeze.
An exciting array of live stations to stop by
The signature feature of this brunch is the variety of international live stations guests can experience, ranging from shawarmas, Indian, Chinese, Italian, to Japanese, Mexican or seafood cuisine. Most of them are neatly displayed outdoors which gives a relaxed market atmosphere to the brunch as guests wander from a stall to another and get a chance to chat with the chefs at each station.
We loved visiting the Indian station as the chefs prepared warm naans in front of us, as well as the famous street food called chaat, tandoori lamb and chicken skewers. The Chinese station was also busy all afternoon long preparing the savory Peking duck crepes.
Among the additions this year, Rosewood added more BBQ options to please the carnivores with a larger choice of prime cuts to pick and get grilled or the South Asian station preparing a refreshing green papaya salad in front of us.
Indoors, the buffet is quite opulent too with an impressive seafood selection, with large buckets overflowing with shrimps, razor shell clams and stir-fried scallops.
The tuna live station was also a hit amongst the guests with one of the Chefs cutting the huge tuna on display to prepare tuna tartare. Make sure to stop by the central station indoor filled with homemade quiches – varying from Lorraine to cheese, mushroom and more. We also noticed a large corner dedicated to vegan food with various fritto and cauliflower couscous among others.
We highly recommend not filling up on everything and make room for either cheese and desserts, or both!
The table dedicated to cheese will surely please the connoisseurs, who can indulge in a huge selection of refined cheeses coming mainly from France and Italy.
Make sure to ask the waiters about the dessert room as it is quite hidden. Located indoors, close to the kids’ play area, you feel you are discovering Ali Baba’s cave with a lot of refined petit-fours to choose from. Kids were also thrilled to visit the outdoor pastry station picking warm churros, pancakes, and waffles topped with ice cream, fresh berries and coulis.
Regarding the beverages, guests also get tantalizing options with cold-pressed juices available on-demand or a large selection of cocktails outdoor by the pool bar.
Beyond the chilled out environment and dazzling cuisine, one of the best things about this brunch is the service.
All afternoon long, a ballet of waiters and managers was making sure each guest would make the most of their afternoon and was dedicated to following up on our orders. The 5-star service makes this Friday garden brunch a very pleasant one to experience.
