Join ‘Smoking Vibes’ at Afyä restaurant and treat yourself to a relaxing Friday evening at Traders hotel’s private beach

Do you have toddlers or kids aged up to 12? Fancy having a Friday night with your hubby but as your going out attempts always get messy with kids, you often end up staying home ordering pizza or sushi…If some of you tick these boxes, read on as we have good news for you !

We are just back from a Friday outdoor BBQ by the beach and we now know how both kids and parents can spend a lovely Friday night out in Abu Dhabi.

Where, why?

Traders Hotel just relaunched their popular BBQ by the beach and it is an absolute haven for families.

Every Friday, from 6.00pm to 10.30pm, Traders Hotel transforms its lawn and private sandy beach into a relaxing and casual BBQ buffet night.

It has a no fuss and casual vibe, you can either book lounge sofa seats, a private cabana if you plan to go with a large group, or a romantic table on the side.

Traders proposes an expansive buffet comprising many varied salads, crudites, a large choice of barbecued specialty meats: cajun shrimps, grilled fish, lamb chops, beef skewers, shawarma meat… there is so much to enjoy. We also liked the biryani style rice that was prepared and served in a large pot covered with huge banana leaves. There are different live stations spread out around the guests area with a dessert corner including sweet treats from around the world and an ice cream stand (that was remained busy throughout the night).

We visited the last Friday of September and there already was a light welcoming breeze. It felt so good to enjoy our first Friday night outdoors overlooking the beach and Khor Al Maqta!

A haven for the little ones

With the bouncy castle nearby the tables on the beach, the play area on the side, we kept seeing kids running and playing barefoot and having a blast while parents could enjoy their night out. We saw many happy faces amongst the little ones who were visiting the different live stations, ordering either a hot dog, burger or enjoying their ice cream cone.

The open outdoor kitchen, friendly and lively ambiance with cool tunes in the background and activities for kids are all ingredients for families to spend a great night outdoors! A treat we definitely recommend for families living in Abu Dhabi.

The offer costs AED 116* per person, for the food and soft drinks package. Kids between ages 6 and 12 will receive a 50% discount. Meanwhile adults can also enjoy a wide selection of beverages from the beach bar.

*All prices are in UAE Dirham (AED) and are subject to a 10% service charge, a 6% tourism fee and a 4% municipality fee.
