We tested Wood-fired Pizza made by ITZA PIZZA
It has been a few months since we heard about a pizza shop in Abu Dhabi that was delivering pizzas by the meter.
We finally found out that ITZA PIZZA was the one and now that they deliver everywhere in Abu Dhabi including its outskirts (for orders above 150 AED), we decided to give it a try.
So their one meter long pizza can combine your different pizza toppings and it is priced between 159 AED (the Norm – 6 flavors to choose from), 169 AED (New Generation Pizza – 7 different flavors available), or Itza Signature Pizza priced at 179 AED (10 flavors to choose from).
We went for the New Generation Pizza and chose Itza Classic, Hawaian and Capricciosa, all baked in traditional wood-fired brick ovens.
Shortly after placing our order online, we received a call to confirm our details and were asked to share if possible our delivery position via Whatsapp. Within an hour, our order was at home, freshly baked and still warm.
The one meter long pizza is quite impressive and is equivalent to three large round shaped pizzas. The crust was thin and the toppings were all fresh.
A handy spot to bookmark for home delivery whenever you have an unplanned bunch of hungry teenagers or kids invading your home or for an evening you feel too lazy to cook and craving something indulgent.
The kids also loved the chocolate calzone (24 AED).
If you are not into pizzas, the menu also includes a selection of salads, pastas and a couple of starters.
Initially based in Dubai, Itza Pizza opened their first outlet in the Capital and are based on Old Airport, close to Umm Al Emarat Park (check the location map below).
