Try this ‘high tea’ that really does take you into sky!

An afternoon tea that you don’t want to miss! Hyatt Capital Gate (also known as the leaning tower of Abu Dhabi) has re-launched their new Afternoon Tea in the Sky.

We went to try it out at The Lounge located 80 metres above the city on the 18th floor, and experienced some fantastic views across Abu Dhabi.

When we arrive, we are offered a presentation box which contained a range of various tea leaves in jars, including imperial Earl Grey, organic peppermint, and our favourite mountain berry (which they also made it into a iced version for our younger guest).

Then came our three-tiered afternoon tea tray filled with sandwiches, melt in the mouth scones, cupcakes and chocolate cake.  Along side this was another plate of small petit fours, which included macrons, fruit tarts, and chocolate lollipops that stop you in your tracks, because they are so delicious!

Condiments included two types of jam, lemon curd, cream and butter.

For an afternoon tea experience we would absolutely recommend Hyatt Capital Gate because it offers amazing views – (something you don’t normally find in a lobby lounge), good quality food and excellent service – nothing was too much trouble for them.
