Our visit to Ladurée, the refined French tearoom and patisserie now open at Abu Dhabi Mall
When we think macaroons one of the first places that comes to mind is obviously Ladurée. This quintessential Parisian, café and pastry shop, opened here in 2018, is a stylish new café you should try in Abu Dhabi.
Located on the ground floor and facing the main podium entrance, once you peek in, you will be tempted to step inside.
Staying true to its refined aesthetic, the decor is all in the famous pastel shades of green and pink and blue, offering a warm and stylish ambiance.
Ladurée not only serves the best delicate sweet treats but they also have an Afternoon Tea menu that the ladies (and gents) will love.
There is a brand new breakfast and salad menu featuring dishes from around the world, including Salmon Benedictine Eggs and a Salmon Poke Bowl.
It was however, the Afternoon Tea (179 AED per person) that we were most keen to try. Served all-day, so you don’t have to wait till mid-afternoon to order it, the elegant silver tower of sweet and savory treats.
We began with mini croissants and then went on to enjoy the finger sandwiches. Next came the pastries-the raspberry tart was our favourite. Of course, we ended with macaroons to accompany our hot chocolate.
Diners have a choice of options in each course-so you get to pick the flavors and items you like best.
This charming afternoon tea served in an intimate and warm setting is quite a treat!
