THE KILOMARATHON MIDNIGHT RUN IS BACK IN ABU DHABI

A unique run experience under the lights towards the Abu Dhabi Golf Course

After the successful first edition in 2013, the Kilomarathon Charity run is back in Abu Dhabi on Friday 24th October 2014 at the Westin Golf Resort and Spa.

If you are not yet familiar with the concept, the race starts at 8pm and that mean you have the unique chance to run under the lights on the Abu Dhabi Golf Club with pavement and sand to navigate through.

Whatever your level is, whether you are want to join as a runner or a walker, everyone is welcome to enjoy the fun as the race across the lush green garden course is built as a six lap event and is divided into 4 options with the Open Kilomarathon (26.2 Kms), the half Kilomarathon (13.1 Kms), 1 lap (4.4 Kms) the Relay team and the Kids run (2.5 Kms).

Some will opt for the six laps whilst others will go for half or choose the simpler option consisting of one lap. Kids from 4 to 12 can also participate in the 2.5 km children’s run.

This true cross-country run is not only amazing but also for a good cause. The run supports UNICEF to reach an additional 2.1 million people living in poverty in rural areas of Somalia with sustained access to improved safe water by 2015.

This community event will include food and beverage stalls, spa area, kids zone with face painting, movies, bouncing castle and more. The hotel will also host the “Westin Bazaar” offering a great mix of products. 150 AED – Adults
30 AED – Child (up to the age of 12 years)
