Rehabilitated turtles released back into the wild in recognition of World Turtle Day

Abu Dhabi celebrated World Turtle Day on the 23rd of May in Abu Dhabi ! How? Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), master developer of tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, released a dozen rehabilitated Hawksbill turtles back to the sea. The released turtles were rehabilitated at a special center on Sir Bani Yas Island.
The event took place at Saadiyat Beach Club, where representatives from TDIC’s environment team carefully released the turtles as delegates from the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi and more than 50 students, teachers, and guests looked on.
