Being stuck inside all day can really take its toll, leading to decreased motivation and boredom by mid-afternoon. So getting out of the house or office and enjoying some fresh air is an effective and easy way to revitalize your body and mind.
Green outdoor spaces are becoming favored spots to get away from the buzz of the city and fortunately for us, living in the heart of the capital which boasts a number of recreational parks, makes it easy to find a spot to unwind during the afternoon or on the weekend.
With at least 9 parks within the city center, for example, Capital Garden and Khalidiyah park near the 3rd and 7th streets, or The Old Airport Garden near Al Noor Hospital, you don’t have to travel far to find the perfect picnic spot.
Our personal favorites are Corniche Park and Khalifa Park. The park on the Corniche stretches for more than 5 kilometers and is an ideal location for a family with its barbecue and playground areas. After lunch you can cross the street where you can take a stroll along the Corniche walkways, rent a bike or spend some time on the beach.
The more recently built Khalifa Park mixes entertainment, culture and green open spaces. It is a particular favorite of children because of its miniature railway. It also plays host to The Maritime Heritage Museum which is a must-see landmark for residents and visitors alike.

Yes, you are right by saying that’s we are lucky to live in a City with so many parks …. But if they were clean, with no food rests and rubbish all over the poor greasy grass, if the play areas where not full of dirt. I think Dubai parks are much cleaner because is the people behavior, here people lives as animals throwing anything with no respect for the environment. At last, I wouldn’t mind to pay something to someone to keep clean these parks. Every time I go I feel like have to shower with Dettol afterwards! Do you agree ? Can we do something about it ?
Thank you for your attention.
