Go bare at the new burger joint in town

Finally, a place with healthier burgers!

We visited Bareburger, a US brand that’s dedicated to organic, non-gm and natural ingredients in Marina Mall, with a mix of rustic and industrial decor that has a chalet feel.

We opted for Macho Fries – French fries loaded with guacamole, pico de gallo, Gouda, pickled jalapenos and buttermilk ranch. We found them hearty but a little sour.

From the Burger menu we tried Buckaroo – Hereford prime beef, aged cheddar, brisket, mushrooms and smoked sauce in a brioche bun.  It tasted good and was well cooked; however the brisket was chewy.  We also tried Fun Guy – mushrooms, Gouda, fried onions coated in a delicious crunchy batter, with special sauce in a multi grain bun. The burgers were small and with too much sauce so they were messy to eat.

For dessert we tried a deconstructed Baklava however too much whipped cream overpowered the taste, and Be My Sammie is a personalised ice-cream cookie sandwich but we felt the limited ice cream melted too quickly and soaked into the cookie, therefore making it very dry.

For kids there are colouring activities and three meal options Grizzly (cheeseburger), Panda (chicken tenders) and Polar (cheese sandwich), all served with a juice/milk and fries/salad.

It’s great to have a healthier choice when looking for a burger and we hope that the service will get better with further training of the team.
