CLASSIC AFGHAN DISHES IN A COOL, TRENDY SETTING

There are more and more restaurants springing up in Abu Dhabi that offer quality food within a cool and trendy interior – and Nolu’s is one of them. The café/restaurant has a high ceiling, arty décor, and a position overlooking the water – and the food is no disappointment…

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering international dishes alongside Afghan specialties including Kabob with Afghan Rice, Borani Kadoo (pumpkin sautéed with onion), and Mantu (steamed beef dumplings, topped with herby sauce and yoghurt). We heartily recommend the Mantu – it may not sound tempting in its description, but it was truly delicious. If you’re not feeling so adventurous, there is plenty of choice on the menu too.

Nolu’s is the perfect lunch spot for foodies, who will appreciate its tasty flavours and cool interior. It may be a drive from Abu Dhabi, but it is worth it – especially at weekends, when the atmosphere is buzzing. It’s just the place we needed in Abu Dhabi – we’ll have more of where that came from please!
