The key is to find it !

Literally hidden downtown – we had actually to call the bakery and request the waitress to come out to show us the way but once you have visited this bakery, you will crave to come back.

For our first visit, we went back home with a whole sourdough bread freshly baked from the oven and we enjoyed every single bite.

Once we knew the way we went back for the delicious breakfast and viennoiseries.

The breakfast section offers different options including omelet, sweet potato waffle benedict, smoked salmon or Arabic breakfast to name a few, fairly priced between 35 and 54 AED, with coffee/tea or a fresh juice.

We went for the Belgium Liege waffle topped with ice sugar, fresh berries, with maple syrup and cream on the side with a fresh orange juice (34 AED).

We also ordered their breakfast basket that comes filled with sourdough bread slices, traditional bread, butter, a homemade jam with berries and a pastry of our choice. As their Instagram page had us hooked with photos of their “cruffins”, we gave it a go and asked for a fluffy rose cruffin – a croissant actually in the shape of a muffin filled with a rose flavored cream -.

We definitely enjoyed our treats and will soon be back as quaint bakeries serving healthy and tasty breads are not easy to find in the city. Plus, the service and team were extremely kind during our different visits.

Definitely a great haunt in the city, if you are into bread and pastries.

Check the location map below to avoid struggling.

The easiest way is to park close to Zoom supermarket and then walk in the walkable narrow alley between the Zoom supermarket building and the Ministry of Energy building beside. Take the first alley on your right and you will see the Crustique sign.

Open seven days a day from 7am to 7pm
