The Emirates Palace just unveiled a retail unit at Le Café and their new baby will certainly have those with a sweet tooth visiting more often.
Le Café – where some of you have already experienced the now famous 24K gold-flaked cappuccino -has now opened a brand new high-end pastry retail boutique where guests can walk in to buy individual or large pastries, cakes or tarts, chocolates or place an order for special celebrations. The boutique will be open daily from 10 am until 1 am.
Given the quality and elegant look of the pastries, it seems like the perfect spot to visit whenever you are looking for a high-end edible gift or are the one in charge of bringing dessert for dinner. You will surely impress!
It has been a year since the concept was launched and the shop is now open to all since October 2018. The retail shop has a distinguished Parisian flair and you feel like you have been transported to a typical Parisian high-end pastry shop.
Visiting the boutique, we were lucky to meet Executive Pastry Chef Francois Leo, who told us more about the concept. Influenced by his Italian father and French mum, his creations reflect his origins and the Chef carefully selects high-quality ingredients for their freshness and uses French pastry techniques. You will find some French classics that he slightly revisited to add his own personal touch, which includes cheesecakes, macaroons, and other delights.
If like us, you are also on the lookout for freshly-baked french croissants, pains au chocolat or brioches, this boutique should be on your list, especially if you decide to host a breakfast or brunch gathering at home.
The team plans to propose one or two new sweet additions at the boutique on a weekly basis so that visitors can always try something different when they visit.
New concept, new display, new tastes… for the different elaborate afternoon teas at the Emirates Palace
Just check the photos below and you will probably feel like booking your next afternoon tea!
The executive Pastry chef gave us some insight into their new concept. The idea is to propose a more playful and varied dining experience with four different types of savory and sweets pastries. All the bouchées displayed are on purpose unique – none is coming in double – and they are large enough to share if need be.
The middle shelf is all about savory tea sandwiches, savory tarts and quiches using only premium ingredients such as French foie gras, yellowfin tuna, Canadian lobster, wild mushrooms from Spain and more.
At the bottom, you will find four homemade freshly baked scones (pistachio, plain, raisin and saffron) along with cottage cream, homemade mango cream, orange marmalade, and rose & raspberry jam.
The top shelf is filled with irresistible individual desserts, including tarts, chocolate cakes, cheesecakes and many more.
The afternoon tea is served daily from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Le Café and due to the high demand, it is safer to reserve your table 24 hours in advance. For more information or reservations, please call +971 (0) 2 690 7999 or email restaurants@ emiratespalace.ae.

Of course, there is also artisanal chocolates – and Emirates Palace is the exclusive provider of ruby chocolate in Abu Dhabi – and very soon there will be caramels and pates de fruits available to purchase whenever you are looking for an elegant gift with a Parisian touch. The ruby is an in-demand fourth variety of chocolate in addition to dark, milk and white, that derives from the ruby coco bean and has been piquing the interest of food lovers worldwide.
