A NEW RESTAURANT WITH A FEEL GOOD VIBE

The first Japanese restaurant in Abu Dhabi that reminds us of our mom’s recipes

Curious about the latest Japanese outlet that opened its doors in Khalidiya, we were there shortly after its opening.

Upon our arrival, our first surprise was how crowded the restaurant was despite opening just a month before. There was plenty of seating including the chef’s table overlooking the sushi kitchen.

We liked the intimacy of our booth but it was nice to also have groups of people on other tables around us.

One look at the menu and reading the extensive choice and twist to the dishes, our tastebuds started getting excited and we were confused with all the tempting options. So, to start off the meal, we shared a soft shell crab salad that was served warm with a tasty and light dressing. We also ordered vegetarian maki filled with asparagus, spring onions and cucumbers (20 AED).

For our main, we opted for the curry rice and the wagyu burger. We on purpose won’t share pictures nor details of the unstructured burger, but will say these tasty and flavorful dishes were both awesome choices.

For the dessert, we couldn’t resist their tapioca pearls served in coconut milk with fresh fruits, that transported us back to our childhood. Their Japanese pancakes served with nutella and banana slices will surely be a hit amongst all the little ones.

The restaurant focuses on all the essentials : welcoming atmosphere, attentive service and an inviting menu filled with fresh ingredients and wholesome food.

We reckon this homegrown concept will be a success in the Capital.
