We’ve found some fantastic Indian food that gives you value for money.
Fancy an authentic Indian meal with a modern twist? Located in on Salam Street, MYNT restaurant looks incredibly stylish with its black and gold exterior, which is also reflected inside with touches of turquoise in the furnishings.
The menu is extensive with a variety of soups, starters, tandoor and main dishes. We opted for assorted veg pakora which were crispy and not greasy and Aloo Chana Chat, filled with chick peas, potato, pomegranate and chutneys. It was a huge portion, so tasty and at AED16, great value.
Masala Jingha poppers also made an appearance, a shrimp based MYNT specialty which didn’t disappoint.
For main course we chose Goan fish curry that contained Nile Perch fish in a flavoursome spicy coconut milk-based gravy.
We added the MYNT Special tandoor dish to our order which was a mixture of Tandoori mushrooms, paneer tikka, cauliflower, broccoli and the crispiest samosa – each one was seasoned differently but complemented everything on the plate. We could have split it between two as it was a large dish.
Dessert included our favourite, Gulab Jamun. We like it cold and they were happy to oblige, even though it’s normally served warm.
If you are looking for a quality Indian meal that won’t break the bank, give MYNT a try, you’ll enjoy it.
