The Bakery with a Japanese flair

Are you visiting ATAYA every year? Then you may have already noticed the frenzy around the Yamanote Atelier stall at the exhibition these last few years.

So, if like us, you find it hard to resist a cheese tart, fluffy souffle cheesecake or their signature croissant with Kiri also called Yamanote croissant, then you will be in awe as Yamanote Atelier made its way to Abu Dhabi, opening their very first stall inside Al Seef Village mall, beside Carrefour Market.

Already well established in Dubai with different outlets (five including Dubai Mall or Mirdif), we are happy to now be able to go grab their delicacies whenever we crave Japanese sweets.

The concept behind the brand is all about marrying the traditions of European bakery items with Japanese ingredients and with a Kawaii’ outlook – meaning cute in Japanese.

Be aware these bakery items come with a price as most of these sweet bites cost between 15 and 20 AED.

Apart from varied croissants (rose, matcha, almond, cheese croissant or pain au chocolat, .. ), bread loafs or their signature Yamanote croissant, some of their sweets have super fancy designs your little ones won’t resist long!

We can’t resist the Kity Nutella, Character Tororo, Minions, Panda Lotus bun which are just too temping!

If you work around the area, keep in mind that the stall also proposes a decent variety of sandwiches and savory items – from hot tartines to rolls or even the Yakisoba bun filled with noddles or the Happy Face Japanese burger-  that will give a fun twist to your boring grab-and-go lunch.

We also noticed a couple of high chairs beside the counter to enjoy a quick fix and coffee on the go. Don’t hesitate to check out their online menu to know more about the food variety and pricing as we noticed most of the items mentioned online were available at the stall.

There is also an ice cream machine that kids will enjoy.

Oh, and if one day, you need a last minute edible gift, Yamanote Atelier proposes gorgeous looking tin boxes varying from 100 to 300AED and above; filled with langue de chat and crepe rolls, they are available at the stall and online.
