A cool spot to hangout for a lazy evening outdoors
We just paid a visit to an old favorite spot located in Al Raha Beach at Al Bandar.
Ornina Lounge is gone and Pacifico Tiki is now the name to look for if you wish to spend an evening outdoors with family or friends in a casual atmosphere.
This spot is quite unique facing the Al Bandar marina and glass buildings and has a relaxing vibe, especially if you book a table at the terrace. Far from the traffic, boats and sea surrounding you, the shape of the building located on the water makes you feel like you have just embarked on a cruise trip for the night.
We still love the outdoor deck with the honey-coloured wooden floor and white rattan chairs and tables. The decor is more intimate now with different plants that divide the outdoor space.
The Tiki menu features a wide selection of exotic-themed mocktails and cocktails that are served in unique colorful glasses in the shape of statues. We went for the Coral Reef, a tropical drink prepared with strawberry, mango and coconut cream and the No Tai Mai tai served without alcohol. Refreshing, sweet and perfect to relax. The selection is huge and quite appealing.
Surprinsingly, the food menu doesn’t carry many typical Polynesian dishes and has a variety of casual options instead like pasta, risotto, pizza, salads and main courses. We decided to share the casual Tikki Platter for two with mini Gourmet Burgers, Waguy Beef and Chicken skewers, Crab meat Rangoon, beef bacon Khudri wrapped dates, stuffed with black pepper, Boursin cream cheese and coconut milk. What we liked most were the Chimichurri Shrimp served with a blend of herbs including parsley, cilantro and with a hint of lime and garlic.
Although the dessert menu is limited our pick of the Peanut Butter Parfait was indeed flavorful without being too rich in flavour and matched well with the chocolate mousse served on top.
