Love Italian Cuisine? The boutique-restaurant Sacci Restaurant at the Westin is now open
Calling out all serious connoisseurs, you’ll be delighted to learn that there is now a brand new Italian restaurant in Abu Dhabi with Florence cuisine influences that is worth a visit.
Located at The Westin Golf Resort and Spa, Sacci officially opened its doors on the 1st of October 2014 and we were lucky enough to attend a preview with a special degustation menu that gave us an appealing overview of the original concept and refined cuisine Sacci will propose.
Meeting Executive Chef David Contreras and Chef de cuisine Stefano Micocci who will operate at Sacci Restaurant was part of the epicurean experience and it was a pure delight to feel their passion in presenting their specialties, describing the gourmet products they work with, which are weekly delivered from Italy.
Their slow-roasted T-bone steak melted in the mouth and was served with whipped potatoes, a spinach gratin and braised shallots with lambrusco jus. We won’t unveil any secret but their Tiramisu was crunchy and light, something that our taste buds will remember.
After experiencing such a night, giving us a full overview of the specialties, we are convinced their concept called “The Chef’s table” will not disappoint.
Once a month, Sacci’s team will organize a bespoke themed dinner that 10 guests only will have the chance to attend at the Chef’s Table, a private area in the restaurant with a long wooden and comfy table perfect for foodies.
During this gastronomic experience, paired with wine choices to complement each course, the team will explain every course, focusing on where the ingredients come from, which techniques are required for each creation.
The cherry on the top is that Sacci also is a boutique-restaurant where you can find the best quality ingredients to purchase such as pesto, Numero 1 olive oil, awarded balsamic vinegar, Domori chocolates and Amaretti biscuits.
