Different menu options offering traditional or contemporary cuisine
When we heard that a couple of Cascade Dining outlets at Yas Mall decided to propose a special Iftar menu in Abu Dhabi, we thought it was something to absolutely share. Ranging from Indian street food to Italian cuisine, Emirati traditional dishes, Mexican and more, each outlet has made an effort to propose a great package that won’t break the bank. It is a wonderful place to enjoy Iftar on days that you do not feel like not cooking home this Ramadan.
Let’s get into details as we spent an evening touring the different options and tasting some samples of what there is on offer this year at cascade Dining.
A NO FUSS INDIAN STREET FOOD IFTAR AT MASALA STREET
Located close to Ferrari World Entrance at the underground floor, Masala Street proposes an Indian cuisine with a street food flavor. Their Ramadan offer priced at 69 AED is a buffet style dinner including a welcoming drink, a live chaat counter, a large variety of salads, starters, currys, rice and breads.
A no-fuss Iftar dinner that will allow to dig into Indian cuisine street style food and flavors.
Timings: Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 10pm.

A WHOLESOME IFTAR
WITH AN ITALIAN FLAIR AND A QUAINT DECOR
The 3-course set menu created by Buca de Beppo is quite a bargain and you will definitely please the whole family. Guests will be welcomed the traditional way with dates and the soup of the day followed by an entrée or pasta dish.
A selection of delicious main courses will follow including Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagne, Ravioli al Pomodoro and Spaghetti with Meatballs, all rounded off with a tempting tiramisu dessert.
The package priced at 79AED also includes a soft drink or iced tea and a bottle of water. If you haven’t been there yet, the decor is picturesque with walls covered from floor to top with old fashioned photographs, posters, statues, mirrors and more…

WISH TO ENJOY AN IFTAR WITH A THAI TWIST?
Why not visit Lemongrass at Cascade Walk as their tasty five-course menu is appealing. Ginger lemonade and prawn crackers will be served at the start of the meal followed by a comforting choice of Tom Yum soup and Hot & Spicy soup. Main courses include a creamy coconut Green Curry and wok-tossed Pad Med followed by Pad Thai and traditional Thai desserts.

BREAK YOUR FAST AT A TEX-MEX? WHY NOT…
Tex-Mex is not our first thought to go break our fast but it can be a option to consider if your family craves tacos or fajitas. Chili’s is offering two set menus to choose from this Ramadan. For AED 119 per person, guests can enjoy the soup of the day and choose any main course from the vast menu along with a Chocolate Chip Cookie for dessert. For AED 79 per person guests can enjoy the soup of the day, a main from the craft burger or handheld section and a chocolate chip cookie dessert to finish.
Timings: Sunday to Thursday, 11am – 10pm and Friday to Saturday, 11am to 12am.

GO FOR AUTHENTIC EMIRATI CUISINE AT AL FANAR
If you wish to experience authentic Emirati cuisine, go for Al Fanar. We are fans of the old-fashioned decor, with the 50’s style crockery and decor details with vintage radios, black and white photographs of Old Abu Dhabi.
This restaurant has created a five-course set menu priced at just AED 125 per person. Choose from salads and soups, appetizers including Samboos and Pakora, main courses such as Saloona Lahamand, Biryani Laham and desserts including Khabisah and Ferni. Refreshments including vimto or laban, tea or Arabic coffee and water are also included in the package.
Timings: Sunday to Thursday, 8:30am – 10pm and Friday to Saturday 8:30pm – 10pm.
Price: AED 125 per person, AED 60 per child from four to 12 years old and children below four years old dine for free.

A GOURMET IFTAR WITH A MEDITERRANEAN FLAIR
Cafe Bateel is known for blending the cuisine of the Mediterranean with the culture of the Middle East. We experienced a couple of dishes from their tasty three-course or four-course Iftar menu and they are damn flavorful !
Offering appetizers such as Mediterranean Farro and Quinoa Tabbouleh and main courses such as Chicken with Saffron Rice, Bateel Risotto and Confit Lamb, you will finish the feast with a delightful chocolate fondant.
Timings: Sunday to Thursday, 8:30am – 10pm and Friday to Saturday, 8:30pm – 12am.
Price: AED 108 per person for three courses. AED 138 per person for four courses.
