A must-try in Abu Dhabi if you wish to experience Ethiopian food
The Tourist Club Area is full of great traditional eateries but our current favourite has to be Bonna Annee. Serving up tasty Ethiopian food this tiny restaurant keeps its décor basic with simple seating and cute African lamps.
We love the service and the staff are exceptionally friendly and will greet you with a big smile and you are sure to be well looked after. You must try the Bonna Annee Special which consists of Injera (a pancake that looks like flatbread) and it comes with delicious spicy meat and vegetable stews. It’s best to eat with your hands which can get a bit messy but that’s what makes the experience fun.
Dining at Bonna Annee feels almost like being in someone’s home and they truly love to share their hospitality with you. The prices are incredibly cheap so make sure you go and check it out as its well worth a visit.
