Have you visited SALT in Abu Dhabi the airstream serving a variety of burgers near Mushrif Park?
After hitting Dubai by storm last year, we are so happy SALT made its way to Abu Dhabi, now parked and settled just outside of the new Mushrif Central Park.
The Concept:
A shiny silver, retro-style airstream truck with the words SALT displayed on the roof, a casual terrace in the lawn with sofas and tables made with recycled pallets… makes this spot a popular eatery that is always filled with people, especially at night.
The food:
An uncomplicated menu with three types of burgers only (original, hook and chicken cheetos) coming along with fries and lemonade (pink or mint) or shakes or soft drinks. We enjoyed the juicy and spicy ‘hook’ option prepared with wagyu sliders, cheese, hook salt and jalapenos. The rather odd combination of chicken and cheetos burger also seems to have people coming back for more.
A strong identity and social media branding:
We are definitely fans of the ‘think outside the box’ branding built with a strong graphic identity on their packaging that has made this new comer popular in no time around the country.
Their latest hit:
Their Lotus Softie seems to be everywhere on Instagram. The soft scoop ice cream flavored with speculoos and topped with Lotus coulis is a must-have.
