In a city dominated by coffee chains in malls, we always appreciate a relaxed hour in Café Firenze. This low key café, which is only a block away from the beach, boasts an outdoor patio that overlooks a lush green garden and palm trees. It’s our top spot for a hot drink and catch-up with friends.

We have a soft spot for their Café Mocha (18 AED); a mug of hot chocolate, mixed with a shot of espresso and finished with a generous dollop of whipped cream. We love the fact that Café Firenze has been around for over a decade, being one of the few places untouched by the fast development of the city.

For those living off the island, Café Firenze has also opened a second café located in Al Zeina at the Al Raha Beach area.
