Love nothing more than visiting a cafe for something sweet? Read on…

It has been a while since we have noticed the Japanese bakery trend expanding in Dubai and we are now delighted to share that this concept has made its way to Abu Dhabi, with a Japanese café and bakery called KEKI bakery.

Centrally located in the city (see the map below), it is also very convenient as you can easily park in an area near this cafe and Joud cafe.

We really adore the decor that has the name KEKI engraved inside white tiles on the walls and the wooden tiles at the counter. There is a large communal table that can easily fit 10 people or so (ideal for a large breakfast with friends and family) while other corners in the cafe are divided in a manner that makes them more private.

We were in awe while tasting a selection of their desserts including the fluffy Japanese cheesecake available in original and chocolate flavors. We ordered the latte chiffon cake that was very soft and smooth for takeaway. Of course, you will also pick other traditional specialties including egg tarts, mochi, matcha rolls and various viennoiseries.

For our hot drinks, we went for one of their best-sellers called the Keki latte which paired well with our plain flavored Keki cheesecake. If you are into matcha, they serve both a Keki Matcha latte in hot and iced versions.

Keki Japanese Bakery is a welcome addition for days we want to try something other than Mikado – another restaurant we like visiting in Abu Dhabi for their Japanese bakery corner (our review here).
