A brand new gastropub to experience in the city from dawn to late night
Do you visit Zayed Sports City every now and then for a fitness class or a tennis session? Check this new spot located at the first floor of the International Sports Centre next time you feel like having a morning treat before or after sweating it out.
Open daily from 8am until midnight, The Sportsman’s Arms has opened its doors last September and the large space has that typical and warm pub style atmosphere with several TV screens and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the tennis courts below. If you are familiar with this area, the old Clubhouse went through a serious revamping and is now this American-Irish gastropub.
We went there to check their a-la-carte breakfast options as breakfast is served daily from 8am till 11.30am.
The blueberries pancakes come with fresh berries and maple syrup and taste as good as they look like. We also tried their eggs Royale: eggs Benedict served along with spinach and smoked salmon on top of grilled bread.
A nice spot to have in mind next time you plan to organize a morning coffee in the city with a bunch of friends as they have many different corners to choose from such as the communal tables, the comfy booths or the club sofas.
The gastropub also has two outdoor terraces overlooking the Zayed Sport facilities that are quite tempting. These two terraces are currently being refurbished so there is more to come.
